OS X MAVERICKS startup?

Hi, I been noticing some things during startup in mavericks, and i just wanted to see if everyone had the same problem, first, i hit power, then it turns a bluish white, the apple logo appears, screen turns pure white, then lags into the black login screen. This lagging and color changing never happened in mountain lion, does everyone have about the same thing? ive reinstalled mavericks twice and reset smc, and nvram, but it seems to be there in every install ive done, does anyone have the same problem?

I don't turn on my computer often (that is I don't turn it off at all) but when it reboots, I don't notice anything different in the boot up process.
