If I get this specific PC laptop [Sony VAIO VGN-N250N/B N-Series notebook], how well will Mac OS X run on it if I install it?
I like Apple hardware but feel it is a bit overpriced considering the current level of parity in performance between the Mactel and Wintel machines.

Overpriced and you are suggesting a Vaio

It will most likely run like turd plus it is not really legal in any way.

1. Against the law

2. OS X is so good because it's designed to run on Macs only. OS X and the Machine are not two seperate packages. They are ONE product. I don't know why people struggle to see that.

3. Macs are not overpriced. They are cheaper than any other computer I've come across because by-enlarge they last almost twice as long.

If you want a Mac, get one. A PC running OS X will not stand in for one.

Sorry...as has been mentioned, this is a violation of the OS X licensing agreement.
