I know this is pretty far off. But do you think that sony will one day move away from microsoft and move over to os x (or OS XI ) :D
I mean, i always imagined sony to be a none idiotic company, and the vaio's are quite nice. (not as nice as macbooks) but yes.
any thoughts?
cheers :apple:

I dont really think there`d be even one PC manufacturer out there who wouldnt want to sell their stuff with OSX. But its Apple who forbids them to use OSX not vice versa. So nope I dont see that happening any time soon et al.

It's not Sony's choice -- it's Apple's and Apple has never put their OS on anything but their hardware.

And there is virtually no difference between Sony laptops and other Windows PC manufacturers. Sony laptops just look pretty.

Apple only allows OS X to be installed on a Mac. If a computer runs Mac OS, then it is technically a Mac.

Well wasnt there a period after Jobs left Apple in the 90`s and Apple did allow OSX to be installed and sold by other manufacturers?? I m not so sure but I think I remember reading bout it somewhere...

Not OS X, but System 7 (a Mac OS from before OS X was introduced).

It almost killed Apple...
