Hi ya guys,

Yesterday i checked my hard-drive for permissions and it found ALOT it had to repair, so i repaired them and all went fine. Then i restart check again LOADS more!!, if i repair and even wait 5mins loads more come back instantly anyone have any ideas why this could be?

Also could this be a reason for why when i now start my MBA it seems to hang on the grey screen before showing the apple logo and starting to log me in?

Any help appreciated.

Higly unlikely. Repair permissions hardly ever does anything useful.
Apple know this, but leave it in there so people with problems have
something to do other than bother them on the phone :)

Not even remotely true. Repairing permissions is a very useful step in troubleshooting, and will often eliminate at least somewhat minor problems. In this case, there might be other problems, but don't rule out permissions.

OP, try booting from your OS X install disk and using Disk Utility to Repair Permissions and Repair Disk while you're at it.
