OS X Photos - videos ???

This should be a simple question, but searches aren't turning anything up. Anyways, I'm rapidly running out of SSD space on my MacBook and it's mostly due to my iPhoto/Photos library. So I'm in the process of cleaning up my iPhoto library by separating the photos into years and storing them on external media and hard drives. Side note - might be a good excuse to buy a bluray burner.

Anyways, I want to star using Photos, but I'm unsure if videos shot on my iPhone and my camera get uploaded into photos. They do for iPhoto.
