So the other day I decided to wipe my hard drive because i was getting really slow speeds and startup disk is full errors every few minutes no matter how much data i erased.

So I backed up all of my important files and read into the internet reinstall system apple uses now and thought i was set.

Before I was started my about this mac said I was running 10.7.(3?) I think it was .3.

Back at the reinstall page that pops up when restarting with command R I erased the hard disk and then tried to reinstall OSX.

My computer seems to think I am trying to install 10.8 and keeps telling me my App Store log in was not used to purchase 10.8.

Am i missing something here? does 10.7 not work with the internet reinstall.
Is there a way i can internet purchase 10.8? what do i do, go to the store to get a new OS? Sure hope not.
