do you have garageband? if so, simply drag in the song, select the part you want, and delete the rest. BTW, what format of audio does your phone accept?

You can also do it in iTunes.

Simple

find a song you like, or a sound

put it in iTunes,

change the options for the song beginning and end times, get info>options

example

Beginning 0:00
End 0:40

click, Advanced>convert selection to MP3

this will create a new, 40 second Mp3 version of your song/sound

Drag the new 40 second song to your desktop

Bluetooth it or USB it to your mobile, and on the phone select, apply as ringtone...
I would add changing the encoding settings to mono/32kbps/22KHz

yes itunes will do it. go to the song, then right click get info then go to options tab and change the start and stop time

however, i have had no luck getting it on a razr via bluetooth. i think i read that the razr didnt allow it or something along those lines. if you figure out how (without flashing the thing) let me know!

haha beaten once again

dukebound85, i tried that but once u take it out of itunes it goes back to original file length.

PocketMac has a ringtone app for the iPhone and BlackBerry

PocketMac recently came out with a RingtoneStudio app for the iPhone followed by one for BlackBerry. They can both take most any song and allow you to edit it down to 29 seconds or less.

Their website is pocketmac.com...

I hope this helps...
