OS X saved old info from before reformat?

My MacBook used to be called "Stormwind". I reformatted it by booking of the 10.6 DVD, using disc Utility to delete the drive then making a new partition and naming it MacintoshHD. I then proceeded with the normal 10.6 install.

I just opened up Terminal and it still shows Stormwind as the computer name...its not. It was "(my name)'s MacBook", I then changed it to just "MacBook" but Terminal still shows Stormwind. How do I fix this? and why did OSX carry the name over?

Did you check the computer's name under system preferences -> sharing?

I don't know, just checking everything

Yup, that's how I was changing the name.
