I've been running OS X server for over a year now on my 2012 Mini and have noticed since the release of server 5 and now 5.1, Time machine information in the server app and on the TM preferences on the 3 Macs that back up to the server are incorrect. All source Macs are running the latest version of El Capitan (10.11.4). I've tried removing the drive from TM preferences on each of the macs and adding them back, however the issues still occur. Here are some examples of the issues I'm seeing with the 3 macs that are backing up to the server:

  1. TM tab of the server app shows the 3 macs listed as having backups, however only 1 shows latest backup date and time information correctly. The other 2 show "unknown". The sparsebundle files on the backup drive does show that all of the systems are continuing to backup hourly as do the TM preferences on the source Macs.
  2. The backup target disc attached to the server is a 3TB seagate drive. TM preferences on each of the macs shows the drive size differently. One shows it is a 6TB disk, another shows it is a 750GB disk and yet another shows the size at 2TB. 2 of the 3 sparsebundle files were copied from a 2TB disk about 8 months ago when it became full and 1 sparsebundle was created new on the 3TB drive recently.
While I know the backups are functioning, the ability to report accurate information on the server and the source Macs is really annoying. Has anyone seen this or have a solution to correct it?
