Hello all. i just installed snow leopard on my white macbook. I noticed after i did so that every time i turn my computer off and then start or if i just restart my macbook turns on with the volume all the way off. it's not that big of a deal because i can just turn it up, but i would like to know why it's doing that so i can fix the issue. oh yeah i know that if the volume is off when you shut down it will stay that way when you turn it on again. However, even if i shut it down with the volume up it will be muted upon rebooting. any experts out there know a quick fix?

kluckste, I'm having exactly the same problem. Did you find any answer to this?

I'm running a June 09 MacBook Pro. I use 64 bit kernel mode.
