OS X Themes [Shapeshifter]

I'm new at this whole thing but from what I understand, Shapeshifter will allow you revert back to the original Mac OS theme at any time, even with the trial version, correct?

Also, is there any negative effects that could happen to my MBP from installing themes?

I've heard your system may run a tad slower with Shapeshifter, but I don't have any problems with it. And yes you can revert back at any time.
