OS X to iphone file access?

Hello

Looking to see if there is any apple preferred method of having my users who access shares on our Mac mini server to access these on their iOS devices.

I know WebDAV works but is there an app or way that we can connect for example:

Shared photos into the photo app?

There are a few WebDAV apps I've played with and you can access the server.

Looking for some thoughts and suggestions.
