OS X Unsupported Systems

Just thought I'd give some hope to those of you on older systems. My coworker brought in his 604e system running X. Here's a screen grab of the "About This Mac" window:

Just one question. Why is the text not aliased in the window? Some is, and some is not. Can the 604e support that much memory? Not trying to cause a war, just honest questions.

The amount of memory is determined by the mobo, not the CPU.

He turned off text smoothing for small fonts.

Well...it runs pretty slow. It feels about 60% slower than the G3 450s we have here at work.

He has an XLR8 G4 card that he runs normally, but it got fried.

Radeon 7500 PCI

He took an old Peforma clone, with a barbones mobo and CPU and upgraded from there:
G4 upgrade card
PCI Firewire
PCI USB
ATA 133 controller card (otherwise he's stuck w/ onboard SCSI)
