If memory server me correct, the PC users hating on Mac users seemed to begin first. You'd always hear kids saying how bad Macs were. At the very mentioning of a Mac PC users cringed. I don't really recall what was worse at the time, Windows or Mac...
I'm posting this to ask why? What is the point? Why are there endless comments of flames and negativity? Windows is good for a gaming, more technical user who enjoys building a PC and OS X is very good for artistic applications such as editing photos, movies, or music.
I've been a Windows user for about 10 years and have had about 1% of the total problems I have heard from people throughout the years. If Windows was so bad why would it still be used? I'm pretty darn sure the majority of personal users/businesses use Windows. I build my own PCs for gaming and for the sheer enjoyment of sticking a bunch of random parts in a PC and flicking on that switch giving it life. It's an accomplishment.
The good thing about Apple is you can be a non-technical user and have your computer taken to an apple store or an Apple specialist and it can be fixed rather easily because the internals are standard throughout. A PC? If it's a Dell you can send it back and pray to all that is holy they fix it but if you build your own PC...you are your own technician for the most part. You build it, you fix it.
So, why? Why do these flame wars ensue? Different people with different sets of goals, different needs, and different objectives...need different products sometimes. Just be respectful of the rest of the computing community. I mean geez, 10 year Windows vet and I'm buying a MBP? The worlds coming to an endddddd.
I was going to say keep the comments clean and don't make this a flame wars thread but I cannot control the public.
(and I posted in this area because I like the MB & MBP sections people)
Enjoy,
Rich L.
