Hey all, I'm trying to spec out some webcam software for our lab and I've run into an interesting snag.

I can't seem to find too many drivers for OS X for webcams. Am I just not looking in the right places, or is this another area where 3rd party vendors are dragging their feet with providing updated drivers?

Plus if you have any suggestions for software/hardware I'd love to have them.

Thanks!

I can't help you, but I can empathize. Now what I really would like is to be able to use the firewire from my DV camcorder as a web cam, or in video confrencing solution, that would be key. Oh, well, maybe iChat

I'm really hoping that the USB webcams we already have will be compatible with whatever's out there.

I've seen some little Firewire cams, but I'm not sure if we can justify the expense.
