OS X where to buy in the UK?

Hi

I am planning on turning my del mini into a hakintosh so that i actually use it rather it gathering dust on a shelf. as i understand i need a retail copy of OS X.

Do i need to buy Leopard and then upgrade it to Snow Leopard? Or is there a retail version of Snow Leopard?

ah really, i did not realise.

how come there is such a large price difference between the two versions?

Because the "non-upgrade" version is the box set which comes with iWork and iLife which of course raise the price.

OP, keep in mind, stuff is usually cheaper to buy on Amazon than through Apple themselves.
