OS X/Windows Share Log In Issue

I previously had this working, but today its not? What I have is a pc box that has the C drive shared to all users (just me). I go to my MBP and from finder I select the pc box which gives me the shared C drive. My question is I am unable to connect other than Guest. Is there a reason? I click "connect as" in finder and put in my windows credentials (admin rights) and it seems to quickly flash or blink and then still shows connected as Guest. Is there something I am doing wrong or missing? Some of the files that are on my pc box are "missing" and I believe its from being logged in as a Guest, because from the pc box I can verify they are there. Any ideas? Is there a way to always or default a log in a share, and never as Guest?
