OS26 unlock screen - how to remove the white outlines?

I don't think I'm crazy for this one but did Watch OS 26 add these annoying outlines to the unlock keypad?

Wasn't the old version simple circles around each number rather than the diagonal squiggly lines???

Is there any way to get the old version back? I looked on the iPhone Watch app but didn't see anything obvious.

You could perhaps experiment with some of the accessibility options but I don’t think they will help.

It’s funny because it looks like squiggly diagonal lines but really just a pattern of rounded rectangles. It’s due to the gradient nature of the line weight instead of a solid line.

I don’t mind it but it’s an unintentional moire pattern.

There are LOTS of unintentional distortions and impacts of the new interface that make things much harder to use.

The delete button in mail got smaller when you swipe left, for no good reason other than to be a round button instead of a flat rectangle.

The NOTES in contacts are basically unreadable now because they are WHITE text on a light background. You can’t adjust this away with any of the confusing settings.

I know there are more but because I use Reduce Transparency I won’t necessarily experience them.
