I'm failing to see ANY benefits of this new "multitasking". Open Pandora, start playing music, go to switch to another app and Pandora stops playing... what's the point? How is this any different than closing each app like before?

On my wife's EVO you can actually keep Pandora playing in the background while you do other things. Imagine that!

Are you sure you're on the new version of Pandora? It works fine for me.

Did you get the update for pandora which brought in the multitasking? Because it's been working fine for me.

EDIT: Wow people are fast here!!!

Somebody didn't update their apps. You FAIL.

Oops. At least we did figure out what the joke in this thread was though. So that's a silver lining.

You must be doing something wrong. Im listening to pandora right now while browsing the internet..

There's a few possibilites here:

1. You didn't update to iOS 4
2. You didn't download the latest Pandora app update to bring multitasking to the app
3. Your device does not support multitasking

This just goes to show that non-geeks out there (the majority) don't understand how apps have to be updated to support new OS features. I guess they assume the OS automatically does it for the app.

There should really be a sticky thread for all of these "Issues" that turn out to be user error.

Then all of these could just be lumped into it, with the first post being an updated FAQ on all the solutions.

have to agree

Actually, he could have iOS4, the new pandora, and a device that supports multitasking. Certain apps turn off whatever music you have playing in favor of their built in music. For example, Monopoly turns off other music to play its own or the playlist you select in-app.

You guys are awful harsh on the OP by the way, even if they didn't have everything up to date.

Wow, quite the shark tank this place.

Thought I had the latest Pandora since I had very recently updated. Once I updated the app it worked as expected. Thanks for your "help".

Mod note: Kept it civil. If this is not possible please do not post. If you see someone who is breaking the rules, report the post rather than respond.
