I've no idea where to post this so please move if needed.
I want to know how to simply see a live video input, any app that will work on an AV machine with System 8 will get me there (if anyone knows of any).
I have an 8500 and a 7100, both of which have the AV cards, so they have S-Video inputs. Apple made a simple little app called Video Monitor 1.0.1, that allows live onscreen monitoring of any signal coming into the AV input (not for capturing). It runs fine under 7.6.1 but going to OS 8 breaks it (window comes up saying it needs System 7 or later!).
I've tried manually copying any likely-looking extensions into the extensions folder with OS 8, without luck.
If anyone either has info on this or knows of a more applicable forum, please let me know.
Thanks and kind regards, Scott
