hy..

does anyone know, if SPSS now runs on intel macs due to the new rossetta in OSX 10.4.8?

thx, hans

From http://www.spss.com/spss_mac/system_req.htm:
Please note: SPSS does not support the use of any existing version of SPSS for Mac OS X on the new Intel®-based Mac hardware, including SPSS 11.x or 13.0. The use of the Rosetta emulation software interferes with the numerical calculations in SPSS. We therefore are unable to support any version of SPSS on Intel-based Macintosh machines.
I guess bootcamp or parallels is the way to go?

well - but in the 10.4.8 release notes there has been mentioned, that they adress problems with scientific applications (because most number crunching apps do not work under rosetta)..

so there is hope (and i really don't want to rape my mac using windows)
