OSX 10.4 macbook on ibook

Hi

I purchased some original install discs for a macbook tiger OS.

Can I install them on my iBook G4 which currently has panther on it??

Oh dear...

I don't think so, since the install discs that come with Apple notebooks are specifically designed for that particular model (i.e. with the correct drivers and software).

Also, MacBooks are Intel-based, and iBooks are PowerPC-based, so it definitely won't work! You need a basic PowerPC (or Universal, if they ever made those) Tiger install disc with no model name written on it. I think you can get original Tiger discs very cheaply these days if you look around enough on the Internet. Good luck!
