OSX 10.5.5 dock/safari not responding

Hi all,

I'm running Mac OS 10.5.5 on my G5 and a couple of days ago my dock stopped responding and Safari won't open. I tried adjusting the dock in the system preferences and I won't maintain an adjustments I make. I tried downloading updates for Safari and OS 10.5.5 but they crashed when I try to install them...

Any suggestions?

Firefox won't work on OSX 10.5.5

I am having exactly the same problems & it is VERY annoying to say the least. I bought a brand new 24inch Imac. I downloaded Firefox. It worked for about an hour & then crashed. I have never been able to browse on Firefox since. I have tried removing the files from my hard drive & re downloading but it refuses to start up.

If anyone knows a simple way to fix this I'd love to know how.
