I am trying to upgrade my macbook to snow leopard. I have a 2 year old macbook. 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. With 2GB 1067 MHz DDR3 and version 10.5.8.

I have bought the Snow Leopard CD installer and loaded it up. When i click install Mac OSX a message comes up saying "Mac OS X Snow Leopard cannot be installed on this computer".

Does anyone know why? Help please.

Apple provides free support for 90 days after you purchase an OS. I suggest you contact them directly. I'm sure they can help you. When did you purchase SL? Was it directly from Apple? If so, simply call AppleCare and explain your situation.

Duff-Man says....did you buy an Apple 10.6.x retail disc/package or it is a grey "restore disc" made specifically for another model? If it's the latter then no, it won't install on your model of Macbook.....oh yeah!
