OSX 10.6.4 Finder not responding

When i download a file, the finder suddenly corrupt and got no responding, i need force to shutdown the mac.
I tried to repair disk utility already.How can i find out what the problem is.....
Please help thanks.

Post the crash log from ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter for Finder.

Try repairing your disk permissions in Disk Utility.
