Hey,

Got a new Macbook Air (OSX 10.7.4)...can anyone tell the best format for playing .avi files. I tried VLC but they won't play.

By "best format," I assume that you mean "best codec" or "best player." At any rate, do you have the Perian codec suite installed? If so, then your .avi file should play in any QuickTime-compatible player.
