I am trying to share the printer connected to my PB with my iBook via my Airport home network. I just dicovered from the discussions forum at Apple that you should only have printer sharing turned on on the computer connected directly to the printer. This is an important piece of information which is not mentioned in Mac help on the computer at all. Having done that the printer now appears in the printer list on my iBook but when I try to print I just get an endlessly scolling blue bar and a message that says "the host computer is busy". It isn't. It's just lazing around not even thinking about printing.
I have enabled the ports in my firewall (which is also not mentioned in Mac help) and I have perfectly good connection between the two computers otherwise, but no printing.
Both machines are running 10.2.3
I should perhaps mention that my iBook is an old 366 clamshell but it seems to handle OSX fine with maxed out ram, all 320 megs of it!
Any help hugely appreciated.
