osx disc not recognised by 7?

I have a late 2009 macbook pro with SL and i tried to put windows 7 on a bootcamp install. All went well till right at the end, i inserted the OSX disc as told so that i could update drivers etc..but the disc just makes a repetative 'dung...dung...dung' noise then ejects..

what can i do? I have the link for the 3.1 bootcamp update and the .exe file but it tells me it needs 3.0 before it can update..

can you download that update on a jump drive and install it manually on your mac?

I have tried to find the necessary but i cannot seem to do find it . Why is the disc not loading?

It is the disc i got with the macbook pro with OSX on it.
