My 27" mid 2010 iMac keep freezing up on me, and nothing responds until I mouse over the dock- happened in snow and continues in Lion. I notice it most in Safari but happens everywhere else too- Chrome, finder, mail, etc. Video will freeze but the audio will continue, until I mouse over the dock and the video resumes to where it should be. Scrolling freezes, and after mousing over will scroll to where it would have ended up. Mouse pointer moves but does not respond to clicks or gestures. Tried repairing permissions, resetting PRAM, killing dock and finder, and uninstalling flash. Nada worked.

At a loss, driving me bonkers, any suggestions appreciated.
