From work, with my macbook pro, I'd like to be able to remotely control PC.

What application/procedure must I do?

And have setup port-forwarding on your home router, and your work router allows the needed outgoing ports...

don't all of those "remote desktop" programs require some port forwarding at some point? i never understood that... though, i never understood why people will PAY to remotely access their windows computers when they can do it for free... And if he can't access his work router's settings or install third-party software how can he do it? Using RDC doesn't require changes to the client computer's router, only the host's, iirc...

Right, but like I said, LogMeIn is free, at least for a short while, and all you need to do is install the software on teh host system. Then, you go to their website, log in to your account, and connect to the system.
