I've patched to 10.7.1. Still have this problem. Web searches not turning up anything specific. Here's the run-down:

--Macbook air 2011, top end 13"
--On home network with several macs and an AFP enabled NAS
--All macs can see each other and the NAS via shared section in finder
--The air when WIRED connection can see all macs and the NAS via shared section in finder
--Connect Air via WiFi and cannot see any network shares in the "shared" area in finder
--Other computers CAN see via wifi
--If I hard-code the path via afp://x.x.x.x I can connect via wifi
--This sounds great but TimeMachine keeps breaking and won't backup due to this issue (to my NAS, which 3 other macs backup to)
--Internet works fine regardless of connection

This seems to be an issue with Wifi. I've tried:
--PRAM resets
--Deleting caches
--Deleting keychains
--deleting wifi profiles
--reboots

Same issue regardless.

Anyone have any ideas??? This is bugging me. Badly.

I've done some more testing here. This problem also exists on another Mac Laptop. If I plug I hardwire the network, no issues. Switch to wifi I lose all visibility to my NAS and other macs via the finder.

Definitely a problem with AFP shares broadcasting over Wifi.

My WiFi device is an airport, btw.

ANNOYING.

I just bought a mac mini with Lion 10.7 it could not find AFP shares on my NAS box over wifi. I upgraded it to 10.7.1 and now *can* find AFP shares. I have a NetGear ReadyNas Duo and an AirPort Extreme. Maybe it is an issue with MacBooks?

Not sure, I haven't had a chance to try my Mini or iMac with Wifi, I will.

Funny thing is this morning shares are showing on my MBA via Wifi. So the problem is definitely intermittent.

Spyderx- Did you ever get this resolved? I'm having the same issue.

Apple must have addressed this in some update to either OSX or my Airport Express because time machine is working fine on my wireless macs now.

I still have a little some funkiness with AFP shares mapped via names but the thing I cared about most was time machine working, and it does now.
