OSX Lion Clean install?

just got a copy of osx lion and i was wondering if it is a clean install and no i dont have a disk (someone told me that would make a difference)

everyone on here seems to want to clean install but i don't

Did you get it from the Mac App Store? If so then it isn't a clean install. Double click on the installer and you'll be upgraded. Simple.
