One handy thing with Windows XP, is that when using Outlook/Outlook Express for email, XP's login screen will show you when you have new/unread email messages.
This is useful when you share a machine, reducing the need to log in, just to see whether or not you have a new email waiting for you.
Since the wife and I share an iBook, both use OSX-Mail, I was wondering whether something like this exists (3rd party app perhaps) for OSX?
