Hi all.

I am running OSX 10.7.5 on a Macbook Pro from 2011. I have just uninstalled and removed my Windows bootcamp partition from my 500gb HDD, and I wanted to re-partition it all back to the OSX Mac. But when I try to do so, I receive an error message as such:

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Here's a guaranteed way to eliminate that partition:

1. Use a cloning app (such as CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper) to clone the contents of your internal drive to an external drive.
2. Boot from the external clone (restart and hold down the option key until the startup manager appears -- then select the external drive and hit return)
3. Once booted from the external, use Disk Utility to re-initialize the internal drive (single partition scheme is the default)
4. RE-CLONE the contents of your backup drive BACK TO the internal drive.

Done.

You might have better luck with this trying it from the recovery partition that way you are not running from the disk your are trying to change.

Do a command-r boot to recovery then start Disk Utility and first try a repair disk then try the partition change.
