OSX SL take more place in Macbook Pro than iMac ???

Hi !

I just did a clean install in both my laptop MBP 13"
and my Imac 2.8 24"... I was wondering why OSX
Snow Leo take 2 Go more place in my MBP than in
my iMac ???

All those battery files... I have no clue, I do know that there is a difference and that it's not uncommon at all.

You won't get the exact same install from Mac to Mac unless all Macs are the same. The MBP needs drivers for the ambient light sensor, trackpad and backlit keyboard. Other drivers vary between the iMac and the MBP. One size does not fit all.

I can't answer about the iMac but I'm sure the MBP will have the safe sleep image file created (in /var/vm) This is the same size as your ram, so if you have 4 gig of ram, you'll have a 4gig+ file.
