Hi,
I was just wondering if I can control my OSX with my voice. What I want is be able to switch songs in iTunes next, prev ...

I was watching some speech control videos on youtube with the Speech recognition on and on one of the videos, there was the command "Quit this application".

To my big surprise, my mac took this command and closed Firefox !! WTF ? I thought that osx would be smart enough to filter the sound that comes from the speekers.

If I remember correctly, Vista had the same bug when it was released and the OS got bashed. Everybody said that this is a big security issue and that internet sites could execute code remotely just by playing sound.

Well OSX has the same behaviour ... strange.

Thanks,
Tex

in os x you have option to make speech to work only while holding Esc
of course there are options. In vista you can also disable/enable the voice recognition.

But the idea is there. There is no filter on the sound coming from the OS.
