I have an older mac mini mid 2007 I have updated the os to Lion 10.7.5 I would like to update it to Mountian Lion and have had no sucess I assume I am stuck on Lion it looks like Mountian Lion dosen't support my mac mini but is it possible to update it to Mountian Lion or am I stuck with Lion? I am upgrading the processor as soon as it comes from China- from T7200 to T7900 not sure if it will help with the osx. Thanks for any info...

Maximum macOS you can install is 10.7.5 (Lion). That Mini will work a lot better with Snow Leopard instead of Lion. You should install 10.6.6 and leave it at that.

Thanks for the info chscag I have the install cd's for Snow Leopard But Lion is running pretty well so I have Both install on 2 Separate drives so I can boot into either one but I assumed I was stuck in updating to another osx I guess I will just upgrade the CPU. Thanks again for the quick reply.
