OSX won't mount MyBook attached to AEBS

I tried connecting my 500 GB MyBook Essential Edition external to the Airport Extreme Base station and the drives don't mount up on my Macbook!

The only way I can access the files are through file sharing where they show under "shared".

I tried formatting it and repairing it but no avail. Anyone here who had similar problems and found a fix for this?

mine is the same. cant you just make an alias of it and stick it on your desktop?

Hey Doc Doom do you happen to have the same drive? If so, does yours goes to standby or does it stay on(steady state) 24/7?
