"Other" Data in iTunes with iPad 2?

So, I get my new iPad 2 in, and set it up. I noticed that .77gb of space is now listed as "Other"? Right now I only have apps and a few pics on it, so for the life of my I have no idea what this is?

I thought the iPad ran on magic fairy dust? Are you telling me it's built upon those normal boring 1's and 0's that have to sit around in memory?

It has never been that way previously and I dont think my iPhone 4 shows it that way either.

I believe its app documents and non-app store (ad hoc) apps.
