Recently, Other appeared on my login screen and I can't seem to get rid of it. It's not listed under accounts, just admn. and guest. What can I do? It's very annoying!!!

That didn't help any. I tried using the terminal and typing dsenableroot -d and after entering my password, it says disabled, but after I restart...it's still there.

When I get into Directory Utility, there's no edit option. It only has Active Directory, BSD Flat File and NIS, Centrify DirectControl, LDAPv3, and Local. It only let you check or uncheck these.

I'm sorry to say that I don't know what else to offer up at this point as I've never enabled or used root. Wish I could be of more help.

Not that I know of. I went and disabled root and its still there. I went into directory utility and there's no edit root option.
