I have 1.02gb taken from "other" in my iPhone and would like to know if I can clean that... is there an app that can erase temp files or other stuff that is just laying around in my iphone?... is there any app to clean the phone...

Phoneclean a free download, works well.
The other may simply be an app you have installed, for example a music app, that has your iTunes on file within it. iBooks? Same thing.
"other" is not necessarily terrible.
