Damn guys, the orange marked "other" on my 8gb iPhone space is taking up nearly 600mb!

I have no idea why it is so much. It seems that with every update of the installed applications it piles on top instead of replacing old files (???). I just don't understand how it can be so much when all these apps don't really store any big data. I could understand if it were apps that constantly download files but 90% of my apps are simple.

The only real big app i have is probably the game Wolfenstein3D but i don't believe it's that one storing additional data that big, i can understand it's saving game/ user info but not dozens and hundreds of megabytes.

Any idea what it could be?
