otter boxes look different in person?!

Oh wow! :eek: That's not just a little off where you would think the lighting changed the colors a bit. That looks like a whole different color. On the otterbox website, that's a much darker NAVY blue. At first, I couldnt even tell which color it was on the otterbox site until I saw the name of it.
 
yeah I'm really mad about it lol i was so excited. but i gave it try and put it on but it makes me feel like a seven year old with it on so I'm going to go return it tomorrow and see if i can just a white and gray one hopefully those will look normal lol
 
My husband uses the Defender for his S3 and he has the gray/white combo. From the pictures, the gray is not as dark and crisp as the pictures but its not totally off like the prior color combo. It's a lighter, more neutral gray.
 
if you wouldn't mind if you have time could you please post of pic of the grey and white? i actually want to see it in person this time haha
 
It might be a fake, I'd contact Otterbox's customer support.

Ask them to show you all their color options available.

(I've seen reputable companies sell knock-offs before unknowingly)
 
saw the gray and white in the store and it looked really nice. not sure how it looks on the phone though.

actually just called otter box and they said its true. that the colors that they show online looks totally different in person. i was like why do that to people? she said they have been having many complaints over that.

right!!!! oh man i was trying to find out what it reminded me of and you just hit the nail on the head with that! hahaha i totally agree and wow i do like the gray and white looks 100% better thanks for posting pics :)

Ahhh, their 3D modeling designer was giving the wrong color palettes apparently.
 
I work at a Sprint store and we do carry the Punk color combo for the defender and the colors of the case do match the colors shown on Otterbox's website. That ebay link must be advertising a fake case. I do notice that on AT&T's website they sell completely different colors than Otterbox themselves carry. When I was at my local AT&T store sunday I saw a customer being handed her iPhone in a Red/Black Defender. I would almost have to assume they are either selling fakes or have exclusive colors.
 
Is it hard to type with the otterbox? Does the screen protector effect the sensitivity?

not my ebay link but the case i bought from at&t looks exactly like the one in the link. i really hate the fact they take the otter boxes out of casing and put them in their own. and i agree i don't know whats up with at&t because all their cases there i have never seen before on otter box website.



i ordered a commuter case in punked that will be here tomorrow i will see if the blues are the same tomorrow.
 
Got my 'Punk' Otterbox today in the mail. Ordered it from their website, it looks exactly how it does on their site.

Otterbox says they offer exclusive colors to carrier and retail stores. Give it a few months and we should see decent color combos available like the 4S ones.

Also stay away from the white rubber. After a few days it looks so dirty Ill be replacing it very soon.
