Haven't seen it yet but a contact at OB is sending me one for my iPad. My understanding is that it has a built in screen protector. I think I've heard that some folks have removed that part of the case. Any experience with it?

The screen protector is horrible. I removed it the second day I received the OtterBox and replaced it with invisible Shield HD screen protector. To remove the screen protector I just used a hairdryer to heat it up and pushed against it to pop it out. Took maybe 3 mins. Now I love the otterbox without the built in screen protector.

Although a bit bulkier, the OtterBox Defender iPad case without the crappy screen protector is awesome. I put a Power Support Anti-Glare HD screen protector on it and couldnt be happier.. I think I will still go back to my Moko slim case for travel though.

Hey guys,

stumbled upon Otterbox Defender on amazon for 13-14 bucks.

Anyone care to explain what the difference is between defender and traveler, because it aint on the website. And how come it is so cheap?

That's an iPad 1 case. That's why it's so cheap. The new iPad one goes for $50.47 minimum on Amazon. Also, I see no mention of a traveller case on that link.
