Hi,
I use my iPad 3 most of all as an ebook reader. I don't use any screen protector and, as a consequence, the retina display is simply extraordinary: the typography is as clear as in a paper book!

Summer is coming and I would like to buy a case to carry my device outdoor. I'm interested in the OtterBox Defender but some reviewers on Amazon say that the built-in screen protector clearly ruins the retina experience.

What are your opinions about this issue? Did OtterBox improve its screen protector recently? Can you post some pictures of a book page seen throught the Otterbox screen protector? Can you suggest an alternative case?

Thank you in advance.

I used to have an otterbox for my iPhone. At first it was ok but after awhile it feels so heavy. Took it out and I am now using a slim case. You might feel the same way with an otterbox on your ipad more so that its bigger than on an iPhone.
