Just got the case. Love it, but I was curious if the belt clip itself can be removed from the Plastic holster. I see a mechanism under the clip? Should I just rip it off? I'm never going to clip this to anything...thanks lol

The holster part is just clipped on. Have you not watched the Otterbox Defender video on their site?

I think the TC is refering to the physical clip on the back and not the actual plastic frame. Meaning leave the frame intact but yank the clip off.

This would allow for the front of the case to be clipped in and protect the front of the phone.

As for the TC, I haven't ever done it, but I would assume you can just pry it out. This will more than likely ruin the clip and may actually snap the plastic frame as it is a weak holster to begin with.

Yes, it just snaps right out of the back. You will have to squeeze the pieces together with a pair of pliers and it's kind of hard to get them in there but I've done it numerous times.
