My MacBook is about 3 and a half years old and the battery is not lasting anymore. It says it will last 2 hours, and then drops dramatically to about 40 minutes and then at 20 minutes, shuts off without warning.

I understand that my MacBook is older, but it doesn't have alot of cycles really. It has 234 cycles and is at 2900 mAh.

I read that last year Apple was doing a recall for MacBook batteries purchased between February 06 - April 07 and mine was purchased in February 07.

Does anybody know if the recall is still going on or if I would at all be eligible for a new battery? The macbook still works great otherwise.

Per Apple's battery warranty page, the program ended May 31, 2009.

Your best bet would be to scour eBay. I found a brand new one on there awhile back for $60 with shipping to replace my water damaged battery. A1185 is the serial number for the old Macbook's battery.
