Hey all, I have a question about Apple's policy on out-of-warranty replacement iPhones. Long story short, I tried to get my iPhone swapped out because of a crack in the back case, but Apple is claiming water damage even though it's clearly never been near water. After considerable complaining, they offered me a replacement for $99. The stock AppleCare on my iPhone is nearly up, which brings me to my question: how long does Apple warranty out-of-warranty replacement phones? If it's the standard year-long period, then I'd only be saving $30 by complaining anyway, since I was planning on buying the extended AppleCare before this fiasco came up. Anybody have some experience?
