This is driving me crazy, I've searched a couple places and I can't seem to get a straight answer for this, how do you set your font so the people you're messaging to don't see a default font on their messaging service?

I'm a new mac users and haven't had Adium for long, can anyone help me out with this?

It feels like a simple trivial issue since, well, you should be able to do this on any messaging service?

Thanks!

You have to use a "universal" font, such as Arial, Times New Roman, Verdana, Trebuchet MS. Lets say you're using a font called "Font123" They will only see "Font123" as your font if they have "Font123" installed on their system as well.

Otherwise... no beans.
